Mission Statement Our mission is to bring an English-learning summer camp to Jingdezhen, Jiangxi. Through this camp, we hope to provide a fun learning opportunity for students in China to learn English through variety of formats and activities. This also offers the teachers a platform to improve teaching skills, expand our perspectives, and understand more about our roots. What is this camp like? All-English learning environment, various subjects including Science, Crafts and Coding, and English reading, writing, and speaking. English teaching will be done in small groups. We provide curriculums that promote learning and self-motivation while having fun for the students. This camp allows students to be able to expand their perspectives and learn English that is outside their daily school study. We value teamwork and friendship between the teachers and with the camp students. Online Summer Camp: online JDZ summer camp offers similar curriculum as above. It enables students from different places in China to join the camp virtually. In-Person Summer Camp: for in-person camp, teachers live with a host family or in a hotel near camp location. We plan to resume in-person summer camp in 2024. Who are we looking for? We are looking for students 15 or above who are passionate about teaching and sharing. Good teamwork skills and proficiency in Chinese is preferred. Dedication and commitment to this program is required. Time Commitment: For online summer camp: 6-9pm (3 hours) daily in late July – early August for 10 days; around 20 hours for subject preparation, meetings, team building, and training before the camp.
