By inviting guest speakers with diversified college/career backgrounds and in different age groups, the LMC College2Career team aims to provide high schoolers an opportunity to gain insights into real-world college life and careers so that they could better select college majors and identify their true career passion that fits their own interests, and to facilitate their future career development. From the stories of our guest speakers, we learn together on how to achieve personal goals while serving our community at the same time.
Guest Speakers:
- College students from all cross the States with diversified majors;
- Graduates new to the workplace with ample internship experience;
- Senior professionals from companies, private businesses, governments, organizations and institutions.
Event Formats:
- Visit to guest speaker’s working place;
- Interviews;
- Zoom seminar;
- In-person workshop.
Since 2022, C2C team had visited and interviewed guest speakers from Bellevue City Hall, King County Solid Waste Department, Salvation Army, Teng Smiles Orthodontics, and hosted online and in-personal meetings with college students from Wellesley College, UW, UC Berkeley, US Naval Academy, and U Chicago. We are planning more events in the coming months. Stay tuned!
