2024年圣诞平安夜，小大师Performing for Seniors Program (PSP) 的小演员们在这个传统节日里，为西雅图健安老人院的居民们献上了一场精彩纷呈的节日盛会，陪伴他们度过了一个温馨欢快的早间时光。
On Christmas Eve 2024, the young performers of the Performing for Seniors Program (PSP) brought a vibrant holiday show to the residents of the Kin On Senior Center, in Seattle, bringing warmth and festive cheer to the Tuesday morning.

Before the show, Ms. Francie Wong went through the program rundown with the PSP leader, Leevia Wang.
从上午10点起，小演员们陆续抵达健安老人院。10点半，演出正式拉开帷幕。整场演出节目丰富多彩，形式多样，有独奏、二重奏和群舞表演。除了传统的唱歌、跳舞、小提琴、大提琴、笛子和钢琴演奏外，还有中国民间乐器二胡和葫芦丝的精彩呈现。两位主持人Alexander Wang和Annabelle Wang年纪虽小，但表现却十分专业，落落大方，主持风采不输成人。
The performance officially began at 10:30 a.m., following the performers’ arrival at 10:00 a.m. The event featured solos, duets, and group performances, showcasing a wide range of talents. In addition to traditional singing, dancing, and instrumental pieces—including violin, cello, flute, and piano—the program also highlighted Chinese folk instruments such as the erhu and hulusi, adding a unique cultural touch.
The two young emcees, Alexander Wang and Annabelle Wang, demonstrated remarkable professionalism beyond their years, guiding the audience with confidence and charm that rivaled experienced hosts.
今天的演出中，我们又见到了许多兄弟姐妹搭档。像我们的老朋友Evan Du和Elliot Lei兄弟俩，他们再次为大家献上了大提琴独奏，展现了扎实的演奏功底；Caelia Song和Caelan Song姐弟俩则分别演奏了充满圣诞气息的乐曲，为寒冷的冬日增添了浓厚的节日氛围。Olivia Zhang不仅继续用钢琴带来美妙的旋律，她的小妹妹Gloria也首次加入我们，一起为大家表演！Andy Guo演唱的《传奇》歌声悠扬动人，让人回味无穷。而学长笛不久的Emily Wei，虽然年纪尚小，演奏却颇具大将风范。
Several sibling duos also performed. Evan Du and Elliot Lei, once again impressed the audience with their cello solos, showcasing their musical skill and dedication. Meanwhile, Caelia Song and Caelan Song brought festive spirit to the occasion with their Christmas-themed performances. Olivia Zhang captivated the crowd with her piano playing, while her younger sister Gloria Zhang performed for the first time, adding even more excitement to the show. Andy Guo’s cover of the song “Legend” deeply moved the audience, and despite her recent start with the flute, Emily Wei performed beautifully.
特别感谢卫青益老师和何璐老师，两位老师在假期里带领学生专程加入了此次演出，充分展现了教书育人的高尚情怀。卫老师的学生们表演了丰富多样的节目，包括葫芦丝、二胡和声乐演唱，真是百花齐放；而在舞蹈《梨花又开放》中，何老师的学生们踏着音乐节奏，犹如盛开的梨花，将春天的气息与活力带到了现场。
The teachers Qingyi Wei and Lu He also deserve special recognition for showing up to the performance with their students. Teacher Wei’s students presented a variety of performances, including hulusi, erhu, and vocal pieces, creating a diverse and captivating display of talent. Meanwhile, Teacher He’s students performed the graceful dance “The Pear Blossoms Again”, their movements evoking the imagery of blooming pear blossoms, symbolizing spring, vitality, and hope.
健安老人院的工作人员和居民们高度称赞孩子们的精彩演出，并在结束时为小演员们送上糖果表达感谢。这场演出不仅为老人们带来了欢乐与温暖，也让孩子们肯定了自己的艺术才华和表演能力，并体会到了成就感。通过孩子们的义务演出，不同代际之间建立了宝贵的联系与互动，老人院的居民们在这个寒冷的节日中感受到了满满的关怀和陪伴。
The staff and residents of Kin On Senior Center were full of praise for the children’s outstanding performances. As a token of their appreciation, they gifted the young performers small treats when they departed. This heartwarming gesture not only brought joy to the seniors but also gave the performers a sense of accomplishment, allowing them to recognize their artistic growth. Through their volunteer performances, the children have bonded with the residents, as well as offered companionship and happiness during the holiday season.

The Performing for Seniors Program (PSP) provides children with valuable opportunities to perform and share their talents. The program allows artistic growth, self-confidence, and a sense of responsibility by teaching the young performers the importance of helping others. Beyond simply showcasing their abilities, these children also learn to use their talent to bring joy and warmth to the community, strengthening bonds across generations.
