2025年1月3日，Performing for Seniors的小演员们来到乐叙之家老人院，在这个举国欢庆的特殊日子，为那里的居民带来了一场愉快而难忘的下午时光。
On January 3, 2025, the young performers of Performing for Seniors visited the Aegis Gardens Assisted Living Facility to bring joy and companionship to the residents on this special day of national celebration.
演出于下午3:45正式开始，小演员们早早抵达Stan Head Cultural Center的演播厅，精心准备。本场演出内容丰富多彩，不仅包括唱歌、跳舞、小提琴、长笛表演，还有许多中国传统节目，如古筝、葫芦丝、少林功夫和相声等。今天的演出特别值得一提的是，除了典型的家庭组合表演外，还迎来了几位新成员的首次亮相。几位小演员的成长也令人欣喜。
The performance officially began at 3:45 PM, but performers arrived early at the Stan Head Cultural Center auditorium to prepare. The program was rich and diverse, featuring singing, dancing, violin, and flute performances, as well as traditional Chinese acts like guzheng, hulusi, Shaolin kung fu, and cross-talk. Today’s performance was particularly special, not only because of the family-based acts, but also due to the addition of several new members. It was heartwarming to witness the growth of some of the performers.
我们第一次见到了Albert的小妹妹Natalie，她像哥哥一样，为大家带来了精彩的小提琴表演。Andrew小弟弟上次为大家演奏了钢琴，这次则献唱了一首中文歌曲。3岁的小Hanming不仅与哥哥合作，还带来了独唱，表演得有模有样。Meiling大姐姐虽然行程紧凑，仍抽空为大家演奏了一曲《青花瓷》，观众听得如痴如醉。此外，再次感谢卫青益老师和何璐老师及其学生们的倾情呈现，为演出增色不少。您还在表演中看到了哪些熟悉的身影呢？
We met Albert’s younger sister Natalie for the first time, and just like her brother, she delighted the audience with her violin performance. Andrew, who had previously played the piano, surprised everyone by singing a Chinese song this time. Three-year-old Hanming not only collaborated with his older brother but also performed a solo, displaying remarkable poise for his age. Despite her busy schedule, Meiling graciously joined us and played the beautiful piece Blue and White Porcelain, captivating the audience. 演出结束后，乐叙之家的生活娱乐部门主管Jennifer Martin Liptrap激动地表示：“我们非常感激你们能在这样特殊的日子来到这里表演。”他们还诚挚邀请我们在农历春节期间再次回访。Performing for Seniors的小演员们不仅感受到了自己表演才华被认可的成就感，也更加懂得用自己的能力为社区带来快乐和温暖的意义。
At the end of the performance, the Life Enrichment Director, Jennifer Martin Liptrap, at Aegis Gardens Assisted Living Facility expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are so thankful you could perform on such a special day.” She also invited us to return during the Lunar New Year. The young performers of Performing for Seniors felt a deep sense of accomplishment from having their talents recognized, and they further understood the importance of using their abilities to bring joy and warmth to the community.
Performing for Seniors将继续秉持初心，帮助小义工们从小培养助人为乐的价值观，积极参与社区活动，服务社区，传递温暖与爱心。
