October 13, 2023, it was a pretty nice day, blue sky with gentle breeze. There was no school in the Bellevue School District, so children from different schools gathered at the Kin On Health Care Center in Seattle to present a special Mid-Autumn Festival performance for the residents there.
2023年10月13日上午，风和日丽。Bellevue学区今天没有课。来自不同学校的小朋友们聚集在西雅图健安老人院，为爷爷奶奶们送去了一场中秋节的视听盛会。小演员们有的是高中生，有的是小学生，还有幼儿园的小朋友呢！他们最大的15岁，最小的才只有2岁。除了多次参加义演的老演员外，还有一些新面孔。而且今天的演员阵容很特别，有哥哥弟弟同台的，还有母女同台的。他们载歌载舞，和老人院的老人们以及那里的工作人员度过了一段难忘的午前时光。
The young performers included high schoolers, elementary school students, and even preschoolers! The oldest was 15 years old, and the youngest was just 2. Alongside some familiar faces who had participated in previous performances, there were also some new performers. This time, the lineup was extra special, featuring siblings performing together and even a mother-daughter duo sharing the stage. With songs and dances, they brought joy to the residents and staff, creating an unforgettable morning.
Although the number of performers was limited, their talents were impressive. The program was rich and varied, including singing, dancing, violin, cello, trumpet, and flute performances. Some children were even invited to perform twice. The staff and residents of Kin On gave high praise for the children's wonderful show and expressed their hope that the Performing for Seniors Program team members could return for a Christmas and New Year celebration.
尽管今天的小演员数量有限，但是他们展示的才艺却不容小视。节目精彩纷呈，有唱歌，跳舞，小提琴，大提琴，小号和长笛。有的小演员还被要求表演两次。健安老人院的工作人员以及老人们高度称赞了孩子们的演出，并希望小大师义演组还可以在圣诞和新年再次为他们奉献上一台精彩的节目。
We are now planning a Christmas volunteer performance at Kin On, tentatively scheduled between December 20 and December 31 (the exact date will depend on performer availability).
