August 16, 2025, sunny.
On this pleasant summer day, the young performers of the Performing for Seniors Program (PSP) visited Solista Bellevue Senior Home, bringing the residents a delightful afternoon filled with music and warmth.
The one-hour program featured a variety of performances, including piano, violin, vocal, and kung fu, etc. Every act was carefully prepared and full of youthful energy, earning rounds of applause from the audience. Throughout the performance, the seniors clapped and cheered enthusiastically, creating a heartfelt and joyful atmosphere.
After the show, the seniors had a brief but warm interaction with the children and their parents. Some residents shared that they had received notice too late and missed the earlier part of the program, expressing their hope that PSP could return soon. Staff and residents at Solista Bellevue praised the performance highly, especially impressed that many of the young performers were only a few years old. They warmly invited PSP to return at any time and expressed their interest in building a long-term partnership.
This event not only allowed the elderly residents to feel the care and love of the community’s youth, but also gave the children an opportunity to learn the meaning of serving and giving back to society. Through their performances, the children gained confidence, and through their interactions, they learned to listen and show respect. The Performing for Seniors Program will continue to uphold its mission of “warming hearts with art, connecting hearts with love”, bringing more care and joy into senior communities and using art as a bridge across generations.
